Environmental footprint We will reduce our carbon emissions measured as Co2e per mployee, measured within Legal Sector Alliance standards To be less than the recorded LSA average Co2 per employee
Achieved
 Legal Services Alliance average = 3.38 Law Society / Solicitors Regulation Authority average = 2.38 which is 0.48 reduction on 2011. We have also focused on reducing our internal travel patterns with introduction of new Video Conferencing equipment.
Energy efficiency Reduce our use of electricity Deliver overall cumulative reduction of usage from 2011
Achieved
 Contracted for renewable energy from Opus Energy for all non half hourly (smaller) sites. We have seen a slight reduction in our KWH per m2.
Carbon neutrality Active use of carbon trading to achieve carbon neutrality. We are committed to achieving reductions in our carbon footprint through further efficiencies and continuous improvement.

 The market for carbon offsetting remains unpredictable. However we are investigating accredited schemes. We are also investigaing carbon initiatives that link with our desired aims and standards.
Recycled paper Recycled paper for all business use. Continue to use 100per cent recycled or FSC certified paper products.

 All A4 white paper used is either 100 per cent recycled or an FSC certified product.
Paper use Reduce the amount of paper used Deliver an overall reduction in paper consumption of 20 per cent over five years.

We have continued to significantly reduce our paper usage. We are on target to reduce our internal paper consumption by 1.1 million sheets
Printers and faxes Reduce the number of printers, multi-function devices and faxes Move to centralised multi-function devices at the Midlands office.
