What is #SolicitorHour ?
Most professions have their own dedicated hour on Twitter when members get to engage with the public, peers, colleagues and professional bodies in a public forum dedicated to their discipline.

#SolicitorHour takes place once a week between 9:00-10:00 on Thursdays - we'd like you to take part. Users can post with the hashtag at any time to keep the conversation going.
Post during this time and use the hashtag #SolicitorHour so other Twitter users can see it and follow the discussion. Post whatever you like about your practice – promote your services, offer your tips and insights, tell us your news and successes, comment on others' posts and reach out to potential new clients and recruits – it's your hour after all.
We have created @SolicitorHour to run the chats. We have also set up a separate Twitter account for members of the public seeking solicitors: @LawSocietyFAS.
Why have we set it up?
#SolicitorHour has been launched by the Law Society as part of its campaign to promote the legal profession across England and Wales.
The campaign is called Use A Professional (#UseAProfessional) and promotes the services offered by our members to the public and small to medium-sized enterprises to highlight how they can benefit from using a solicitor in a wide range of legal areas including conveyancing, wills and probate, family law, criminal law, business law and personal injury.
We will also be raising awareness of our Find a Solicitor service.

Watch our experts live!
We have adopted new live streaming app Periscope to promote our Use a Professional campaign. Recently Gary Rycroft, chair of the Private Client Section committee and solicitor, answered live questions on the campaign’s #SolicitorHour tweet chat.

The campaign is aiming to broaden its use of Periscope during #SolicitorHour sessions and is keen to hear from members who want to participate, and give consumers advice. If you're interested, please email: email@example.com.
