Secure Internet Shopping - Verified by Visa
This free service protects your Law Society Platinum Visa Card against unauthorised use when you shop online and is in addition to the internet fraud guarantee offered by the card. You can register online to select your confidential password, or when prompted to by a retailer who is 'Verifiedby Visa'.
Each time you make a purchase from a 'Verified by Visa' retailer you will be asked to enter this password to confirm the transaction. This way you can be confident that your card has only been used for online purchases that you have authorised. You can choose to ignore this request to register once, but on the next occasion you must register, otherwise you will not be able to purchasewith that online merchant in future. It makes sense, therefore, to register straight away.
You can register for the service now or while you are shopping online with participating merchants.
One-time registration is fast, easy and free
To register, all you need is:
- your Law Society Platinum Visa Card number together with some additional pieces of information personal to you.
You will then be asked to enter a confidential password and choose a login name.
Please note that you will be taken to an external site to register your card. The service is provided by AIB, the issuer of the Law Society Platinum Visa Card.
