Immigration and asylum accreditation - how to apply

There are three steps to applying for accreditation.

1 Mandatory examination

To apply for accreditation at all levels you need to complete and pass the relevant examination.

Probationer applicants

Complete a booking form for the multiple choice test provided by Central Law Training. You can submit your completed initial accreditation application before or after completing the multiple choice test. Read the application guidance.

Level 1: Accredited and level 2 - senior caseworker applicants

Complete a booking form for the written examination provided by Central Law Training, then submit your completed initial accreditation application. Read the application guidance notes and examination guidelines.

Level 2 - Supervisor applicants

Complete a booking form for the timed assessment provided by Central Law Training, then submit your completed initial accreditation application. Read the application guidance notes.  

2 Complete the application form and submit with the supporting documents

Before you begin, please ensure you read the general scheme application criteria and guidance and the immigration and asylum application guidance notes to help you complete your application.

Please complete and submit the application form together with the required supporting documents as outlined in the form and application guidance notes.

3 Assessment and award of accreditation

When we receive your application it will be checked and we will contact you if we need any more information.
