The Gazette: the professions most trusted title
In 2010 the Gazette conducted its biennial readership survey, an externally conducted, comprehensive study of solicitors reading habits.
The survey showed that the Gazette remains the leading publication for the legal profession by a wide margin.
It is read by 85 per cent of solicitors each week, a reach that has been sustained since 2005 despite the proliferation of web-based information sources.
In certain areas - news and analysis in particular - the magazine has substantially increased its lead over rivals when solicitors were asked which publication is best for different types of content.
The Gazette website has seen its popularity double year by year, as more legal sector professionals use the site to view (and comment on) unique content, including daily breaking news and blogs. This year we launched an enewsletter highlighting unique web content, which had over 10,000 subscribers by the year end.
This year we've established a Gazette presence in social media, in particular LinkedIn, facilitating improved engagement with solicitors. The Gazette's LinkedIn group now has over 5,000 members and has branched out into sub-groups focusing on human rights and legal aid.
