Law Society Charity
The Law Society Charity is a charitable fund set up by the Law Society in 1974. It makes grants in accordance with its Statement of Outline Aims and Objectives to a wide range of organisations and individuals with a view to directly furthering law and justice.
The Law Society Charity acts entirely independently of the Law Society. The Chairman and approximately half the board members and trustees are members of the Law Society's Council.

YouthNet: In April 2006, the Law Society Charity gave a donation towards the development of information to young people via alternative communication tools

Reprieve: In March 2005, the Law Society gave a two year donation towards the Stafford Smith Fellowship which provides advocacy on behalf of impoverished people facing the death penalty in the USA

The University of Cape Town Trust: In October 2004, The Law Society Charity gave a three year donation towards bursaries to be made available to disadvantaged students to study law at the university
