Council, board and committee vacancies

The Law Society is seeking to appoint members to its Tax Law Committee and its sub-committees. The Tax Law Committee works to keep under review and promote improvements to tax law, practice and procedure, and to support and promote the role of solicitors in this field.

Applicants must demonstrate substantial experience of tax law and practice, awareness of the key issues affecting the legal profession, and the ability to make the necessary time commitment.

Applications are welcome from all those with the enthusiasm, expertise and time necessary, irrespective of sex, race, colour, age, sexuality, religion or disability. Applications are particularly welcome from female and minority ethnic practitioners, and practitioners from firms outside London.

Appointments will be made following a selection process which will include interviews of shortlisted candidates.

The closing date for applications is 4 December 2009. Interviews will be held in London on 17 and 18 December 2009.
