Our North East region covers Co Durham, Tyne and Wear, Tees Valley and Northumberland.

The Law Society in the North East region

Our aims within the region are to:

• work with solicitor members to understand their needs in order to represent their interests within the Law Society.
• inform solicitors of Law Society services and activities taking place in their region.
• promote the profession to outside bodies (for example media, businesses, and professional organisations).

Your regional representative

Regional manager - Judith Mason

Judith has been at the Law Society since May 2005. A Durham University Law graduate, she has a broad range of experience across a number of sectors. In addition to legal qualifications Judith studied marketing at postgraduate level and is particularly interested in the areas of services marketing, customer service, business development and client relationship management.

As well as working closely with local law societies and offering support and information services to solicitors, Judith also works to build relationships with external bodies to promote the profession and identify support and new business opportunities for members.
