Work in Wales

The Law Society’s Wales Office is based in Cardiff.

The office represents the Society's view and interests to members of the National Assembly, Westminster, and Brussels. The office also handles press and media enquiries on legal issues in Wales. We offer a bi-lingual service.

Current issues:

  • Accessibility of subordinate legislation from the National Assembly
  • Legal Aid deserts in Wales
  • Provision of advocacy courses in Welsh

The office organises training and development courses/conferences all over Wales for members of the profession.

The office is staffed by a manager, a training development executive, a development executive, an external affairs executive, a policy adviser and a PA/office manager. Read more information on these roles
