Law Society accreditation scheme membership is voluntary. The expertise of scheme members in a given area of law has been verified and their accomplishment is recognised by the Law Society.
Lexcel accreditation is the Law Society benchmark for excellence in practice management.
Specialist schemes provide a kitemark for expertise in specific areas of law.
Our accreditations:
Communities of excellence
The schemes promote high standards in legal service provision and ensure that clients are easily able to identify legal practitioners with proven competency in given areas of law. They also ensure that scheme members maintain relevant standards of competency and expertise by means of periodic reselection, re-accreditation and re-authorisation.
Accreditation is a dynamic process and members are actively engaged in shaping and directing the development of each scheme, sharing best practice and contributing to standards.
Promotion
The Law Society runs a range of activities to promote accreditation scheme membership as a mark of excellence for consumers of legal services. Logos and promotional materials are available to scheme members and accreditations are listed in our public directories. We also provide online guides for members of the public highlighting accredited practices as experts in legal service provision.
Scheme membership ensures your practice has greater visibility to potential clients.
