The Mental Health Accreditation Scheme covers the representation of patients in all proceedings before the First-tier Tribunal (Mental Health) under the Mental Health Act 1983. Tribunal representatives are encouraged to read the Law Society's representation before mental health tribunals practice note.
Members will have shown, to the satisfaction of the Law Society, that they have and will maintain a high level of knowledge, skills, experience and practice in the area of mental health law.
