The Planning Law Accreditation Scheme covers all work undertaken by solicitors and suitably qualified Fellows of the Institute of Legal Executives (FILEX) arising out of the processes of obtaining planning permission for the erection or change of use of buildings.
It covers all aspects of the work involved, including negotiations, disputes and appeals.

The general scheme application criteria and guidance (PDF 125kb) is applicable to all Law Society accreditation schemes and should be read before starting the application process.

A guaranteed way of identifying a specialist legal adviser is to search for members of our accreditation schemes. Scheme members are approved by the Law Society as experts in specific areas of law.
