From 1 April 2013, the FSA's functions will be taken over by two new organisations: the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) and the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
There are two websites that are useful if you are looking for a broker.
- FSA register - the Financial Services Authority (FSA) register is a public record of all the firms, individuals and other bodies that are regulated by the FSA, including PII brokers.
- BIBA search facility - to search for a broker using the British Insurance Brokers' Association (BIBA) search facility, you should enter your postcode and then select the following 'insurance type' options: in the first box select 'liability – commercial' and in the second box, select 'general insurance'
