The Law Society interest rate is the 'contract rate' referred to in the Standard Conditions of Sale and was first published in 1990.
The Law Society interest rate is 4 per cent above Barclays Bank base rate. Rates are as at close of business on the day indicated.
The current interest rate is 4.5 per cent (since 5th March 2009).
