Banking crisis

If a bank collapses, client funds could be lost. In 2008-09 The Law Society provided interim advice to solicitors on mitigating any risk of liability for these funds, and on general issues around handling client money during the economic downturn.

This advice has now been archived. The information was superseded in 2010 by our new practice note on Deposit Protection.
