Commercial property
Find a SolicitorCommercial conveyancing is the process by which interests in commercial property are created and transferred. It is an area of law where we actively seek to improve the law, procedure and practice.
Many issues affecting commercial conveyancing also affect residential conveyancing. Commercial conveyancing does not include matters relating to housing or planning and environmental issues.
These pages do not attempt to explain current law or to give legal advice on commercial conveyancing. If you want to know more or need advice on an area of law issue, you can find a commercial conveyancing lawyer using Find a Solicitor.

|
The Conveyancing and Land Law Committee comprises representatives of the legal profession specialising in all areas of conveyancing and land law. Planning and housing issues are however dealt with by the Planning and Environmental Law Committee (int: Areas of Law/Planning and Environmental Law/Committee information) and the Housing Committee. The Committee identifies areas affecting conveyancers and deals with these issues. It responds to consultations on the profession's behalf and periodically issues guidance to the profession. The Committee liaises with and makes representations to other bodies interested in the conveyancing process such as the Council of Mortgage Lenders, the Land Registry and the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister. For details of the Committee's terms of reference, membership any sub-committees/working parties that report to it, see our directory of committees. |
