Become a solicitor

Further information on a career in the law is available on the Junior Lawyers Division (JLD) website.

Launched in January 2008 to be the voice of junior lawyers across England and Wales, the JLD is a division of the Law Society but with an independent voice. This new and free membership group is aimed at students with enrolled membership status, trainee solicitors, and solicitors with up to five years’ active practice.

'The formation of the Junior Lawyers Division is a really exciting opportunity for our membership. We have a blank canvas to ensure that we can provide value to our members, and ensure that their voices are amplified' says Katherine Gibson, JLD executive committee chair.

The JLD is all about its members and their needs. To enable us to represent you, we need to hear from you. E-mail us at juniorlawyers@lawsociety.org.uk.
