The Programme and Portfolio Management Office (PPMO) includes all aspects of portfolio management and project delivery for the Law Society Group. Its core purpose and responsibilities include project, programme and portfolio planning, end-to-end project delivery, management and leadership together with governance, analysis and reporting.
The Portfolio Delivery Manager is responsible for:
- Leadership of all aspects of delivering priority change projects for the Law Society Group.
- Managing permanent and non permanent staff in delivery of approximately 15-20 projects / programmes as well as developing and applying processes and governance to ensure successful delivery in terms of time, cost and benefits.
- Representing portfolio delivery on the PPMO Leadership Team.
- Business partnering with relevant internal stakeholders to develop business plans and manage a rolling change portfolio.
The successful candidate will have strong people management, business partnering and stakeholder management skills.
They will have significant project / programme management experience in IT and business-focussed projects
In order to fulfil this role, you will be confident in managing matrix-based teams, including external consultants / suppliers and be able to handle multiple projects with competing deadlines and conflicting priorities.You will also need to be able to balance strategic thinking with detailed implementation of projects and programmes.
