The Law Society represents solicitors in England and Wales. From negotiating with and lobbying the profession's regulators, government and other decision makers, to offering training and advice, we're here to help, protect and promote solicitors.
The Law Society operates in a dynamic and increasingly outcome-focused (competitive and commercial) environment. The focus in 2013/14 will be on improving member and market engagement, driving profitable revenue growth by consistently delivering an exemplary standard and quality of support for key stakeholders (buyers and sellers). This will allow the Society to fulfill its strategic goals both domestically and internationally. By listening to the market and key stakeholders, through proactive member engagement (via committees), the Society will develop and deliver compelling services and support that are relevant to the needs of its priority membership and market segments.
To ensure these aims and goals are achieved, the Commercial Affairs Division is developing a dedicated Product Management and Product Marketing function and are looking to appoint high-calibre Product Management and Channel Marketing Managers. These brand new positions within the Society are considered to be both strategic and hands on. Successful candidates will provide leadership and direction to their assigned portfolio of products, ensuring quality and attractiveness of the service proposition.They will be regarded as a 'partner' to the Society's member subscribers as well as the 'driver 'of all internal resources to ensure products are effectively promoted. Product managers will also continually monitor and analyse market trends and needs to ensure the products for which they are responsible remain fit for purpose and attractive to their specific target segments.
The ideal candidate will come from a role where they have consistently delivered against challenging objectives and had significant experience in managing change. They will be commercially minded with extensive experience of creating compelling product development and marketing strategies. They will be a convincing, articulate and enthusiastic communicator and be comfortable engaging at all levels of the organisation to ensure messages within presentations, reports and plans are succinct and engaging.They will be familiar with the responsibilities of setting clear direction for their products and concentrating resources on the working that is required to achieve their performance targets. These are pivotal roles and candidates will be the go to person for their assigned area. They will be expected to quickly establish strong relationships across all levels of the organisation.
