Community Legal Advice Centre tender process - consultants directory

With the release of the Community Legal Advice Service areas and the increasingly competitive landscape of legal aid centres and networks, the Law Society has arranged for a selection of consultants to assist solicitors in the tender locations announced by the Legal Services Commission (LSC).

Special offer for members

To offer support to those firms considering bidding or sub-contracting in the areas announced, the Law Society is pleased to provide a directory of consultants with a special offer available to members only:

  • a free initial half-hour telephone consultation
  • an ongoing 10 per cent reduction on already competitive rates

The LSC is discussing the possibility of jointly commissioning a centre or network to be operational before April 2010 with the following local authorities:

  • Barking and Dagenham
  • Cardiff, the Vale of Glamorgan and Bridgend
  • East Riding of Yorkshire
  • Gloucestershire
  • Manchester
  • Stockport
  • Sunderland
  • Wakefield
  • West Sussex

The LSC has also jointly commissioned and already opened Community Legal Advice Centres in Gateshead, Leicester, Derby and Portsmouth.

Contact the consultant in your area for your free consultation and benefit from their expertise in the areas of tendering, legal aid and regulatory issues surrounding these types of collaborative arrangements. While consultants are based in a particular region, many are happy to see clients from any number of locations.
