Free workshop: Judicial appointments - interview skills for solicitors

10 May 2013

The Law Society is to run a free workshop, training solicitors in interview training for judicial appointments. The course is aimed at black and Asian solicitors, who are currently under-represented in the judiciary.

The workshops will equip you with the skills to help improve your application and interview performance. The intensive one-day course will focus on tailoring your submission for the competency-based application and selection process. You will receive practical advice on completing the application form, incorporating your experiences. This will be followed by invaluable interview practice with feedback.

The course has been designed for solicitors with a minimum of 5 years’ PQE who are considering applying for a judicial appointment. If you have sufficient experience to demonstrate that you can meet the Judicial Appointments Commission’s requirements, then this training event will be invaluable to your career progression.

The course will take place on two dates:

  • Saturday 14 September - Law Society Hall, London
  • Saturday 19 October - Law Society Hall, London

Places are limited to 10 delegates per course and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

To apply for a place, please email Jerry Garvey at jerry.garvey@lawsociety.org.uk with your CV attached.
