The Crime and Courts Bill is currently before Parliament. The provisions in the Bill, if implemented, would enable the Lord Chief Justice to deploy judges more flexibly across courts and tribunals of equivalent or lower status as follows.

The following would be able to sit as Employment Appeal Tribunal Judges:

- District Judges (Magistrates' Court)
The following would be able to sit as Employment Tribunal Judges:
- Recorders
- District Judges
- Deputy District Judges
- District Judges (Magistrates' Court)
- Deputy District Judges (Magistrates' Court)
