The Law Society hosted the first of the Judicial College's lectures on 'Being a Judge in the Modern World' on 16 January 2013 at Chancery Lane. The speaker was Lord Carnwath of Notting Hill, Supreme Court judge and former Senior President of Tribunals.
Lord Judge, Lord Chief Justice, gave a lecture on the same topic at Cardiff University in February 2013. There are two remaining lectures in the series:
