Influencing law
Our major concern is to ensure law made by the Assembly is communicated promptly and widely in Wales. This helps lawyers to advise clients accurately and competently on the law, whether it relates to business or personal matters.The Law Society was actively involved in the process of devolution in Wales. We offered comments and proposed amendments to the Government of Wales Bill during its passage, made representations to the National Assembly Advisory Group and responded to a consultation on the recommendations of the Standing Orders Commission.
