BAME LGBT event - book your place

3 November 2011

Different Shades of the Same Rainbow: A BAME and LGBT event from the InterLaw Diversity Forum, the Bar Council and the Law Society.

Date: Wednesday 23 November
Time: 18:00
Location: Law Society, 113 Chancery Lane, London WC2A 1PL

The InterLaw Diversity Forum, the Law Society and the Bar Council want to explore experience of black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) members of the legal sector and see how this experience is impacted when those members are also part of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community.

Speakers from the BAME LGBT legal community (solicitors and barristers), Race for Opportunity, the Runnymede Trust and others will be sharing insights and defining challenges for groups facing double discrimination. Discussion will focus on how these challenges can be addressed so that legal sector workplaces can be inclusive of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender lawyers from BAME communities.

This event will be followed by networking drinks in a safe and engaging environment.

18:00 registration for a 18:30 start.
