International Festival for Business: opportunities for law firms

2 April 2014

The Law Society is encouraging lawyers to take part in the UK's biggest business festival - an unrivalled opportunity to connect UK businesses into international markets.

The International Festival for Business (IFB) 2014 runs across seven weeks in June and July in Liverpool and will attract 150,000 business delegates and trade intermediaries from around the world.

Lawyers who attend will get development opportunities through networking and will also be able to match up their firm with potential customers, suppliers and investors, as well as meet with international trade delegations and buyers.

You will also received brokered contacts with domestic and global businesses based on the details you register.

The Law Society will have a stand within the trading floor of the IFB festival hub and we are also running 10 events - some aimed at the legal community and others at the wider business audience.

We want to use this opportunity to showcase our legal sector and promote and position England and Wales as the jurisdiction of choice internationally.

Aims of the festival

The festival aims are to drive UK economic growth, help double UK exports to £1tn by 2020, and generate over £100m in foreign direct investment, with an explicit focus on creating new international and domestic business-to-business relationships and opportunities for UK companies, small, medium and large.

How to register for IFB opportunities

To register for IFB opportunities you need to register as a business club member - please note: those people who register for our events will automatically be registered.

What else is going on?

There are over 200 business events taking place during the festival.
