The Land Registry is currently consulting on proposed changes to Land Charges legislation that will enable it to close its telephone ordering services ('telephone services') for business customers.
Demand for the Land Registry's telephone services has fallen by 95% due to increasing numbers of its customers using online services. The changes set out in the consultation will enable the Land Registry to modernise its processes and start using new forms of technology to deliver Land Registry and Land Charges products and services.
The consultation will close on 27 July 2012.
Further information, consultation document and questionnaire, can be found on the Land Registry website.
