Law Society appoints head of City and International

24 October 2013

Stephen Denyer has been appointed as head of City and International at the Law Society.

Stephen, global markets partner at Allen and Overy LLP, will focus on larger firms and on expanding the valued work of our international team.

At Allen and Overy, he has gained a strong background in the global development of the business. He has overall responsibility for leading and co-ordinating the firm's approach to markets where they do not yet have an established presence and for co-ordinating their relationships with associated firms and with firms in new markets where they may wish to establish formal ties.

Legal professionals in the City – some 17,000 solicitors – comprise a large and important segment of the Law Society's membership.

The Law Society works to reduce barriers facing UK solicitors entering and working in overseas markets, and establishes and maintains links with international counterparts.

Stephen joins us in spring 2014.
