Legal professionals needed to inspire young people

21 June 2018

The Law Society supports Young Citizens, an education charity working in primary and secondary schools to help educate, inspire and motivate young people. Its vision is to promote a fair and inclusive society based on a strong and secure democracy, in which every person achieves their full potential as an active citizen, both personally and within their communities.

Young Citizens is seeking legal professionals and businesses to volunteer to support its mock trial events and its Experts in Schools programme.

Mock trial events are held all around the country each year. They bring local schoolchildren into courtrooms to provide a unique insight into the judicial system.

The Experts in Schools programme allows groups of experts with industry-specific skills to build productive relationships with local schools. Legal professionals can volunteer in the classroom to help run engaging and interactive sessions with students about different areas of law.

If you or your business are interested in becoming involved you can find out more from the Young Citizens website.
