The Supreme Court has confirmed that the appeal in the Prudential vs HMRC case, regarding the Court of Appeal's decision that legal professional privilege (LPP) does not extend to non-lawyers (in which the Law Society intervened) will be heard on 6 November 2012.
Permission to appeal was granted on 13 April 2011. The Law Society has also been given permission to intervene in the Supreme Court appeal.Â
