A planned civil service strike may affect court and tribunal
services on Thursday 10 May. The effects of the industrial action
by Public and Commercial Services (PCS) union members will vary
from region to region. There may be further disruption -
likely to be a 'work to rule' - from 11 May-31 July.
Ahead of 10 May, you can stay updated on the courts and
tribunals affected by checking Her Majesty's Courts and Tribunals
Service (HMCTS) website.
HMCTS will aim to support court and tribunal sittings at a
substantial number of premises. Priority will be given to urgent
business, including bail appeals, cases involving custody time
limits and urgent family matters.
If less urgent cases do have to be adjourned, where possible, it
will try to provide notification in advance to avoid any undue
inconvenience to the parties, witnesses and others.
