Each non-geographical seat on the Law Society Council will fall vacant at the conclusion of the Society AGM in July 2013, and the Council Membership Committee (CMC) is responsible for advising the Council on future designation and filling of the seats.
The CMC is therefore seeking views from individual solicitors and organisations on the designation of non-geographical Council seats and the procedures for filling them.
The CMC is interested in comments generally, but in particular on whether there are organisations and categories of solicitor who are currently not represented on the Council who would wish to be.
