Society questions government's 'speedy' justice proposals

The Law Society has questioned government proposals to speed up cases in the criminal justice system, which include plans to open courts at the weekend. We welcome any initiative to increase efficiency but we urge the government to take on board our suggestions and the views of defence practitioners.
