Upcoming SRA questionnaire - January 2018

19 December 2017

The Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) will be issuing a data-gathering questionnaire to all firms at the start of next year. Its purpose is to identify those firms which are carrying out work within the scope of the Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing and Transfer of Funds (Information on the Payer) Regulations 2017. It will have to be completed between 22 January (when the questionnaire becomes available online) and 2 February 2018. All firms will be required to respond.

A specimen form of the questionnaire, and Q&As, can be accessed early on the SRA’s webpage to help firms to prepare their responses.

Please contact the SRA’s Professional Ethics helpline (0370 606 2577) for further information.
