Register to receive international highlights by e-mail Law Society lobbies Polish government over legal services proposals The Law Society continues to lobby the Polish government over their proposals to cap legal fees. The Society believes that the proposals will make it financially impossible to provide legal services of the highest standard, and warns that the anti-competitive move could result in a mass exodus of British law firms as well as having dire consequences for businesses in Poland. Improving dialogue and cooperation between French notaries The Law Society is coordinating a two-day seminar in September to improve dialogue and cooperation between French notaries. Free trade agreements and legal markets in Asia The Law Society has successfully pressed for a series of free trade agreement negotiations with key Asian markets to include consideration of legal services.
