Legal aid campaign: have your say

Last updated: 15 January 2014

The Law Society has vowed to continue its opposition to criminal legal aid fee cuts and strengthen its campaign to influence the government's legal aid proposals.

As we fight for further concessions for our members throughout January, we have begun a member-engagement programme, including a series of face-to-face meetings with practitioners across magistrates' courts around the country.

The Law Society president and fellow office holders will be talking directly with members to help inform the Society's position so that we can work together to secure further vital concessions from government.

Some of the dates and venues are yet to be confirmed but so far, the meetings are as follows:

Last week:

8 January at 13:00 - Sunderland Magistrates' Court
