Residents' associations consultation - Law Society response

28 September 2017

The Law Society has responded to the Department of Communities and Local Government consultation on recognising residents' associations and their power to request information about tenants.

The Society expressed support for the government's proposals.

Tenants sharing their details with the secretary of a residents' association may increase the likelihood of it becoming a recognised residents' association, which would give residents extra legal rights not afforded to individual leaseholders.
