Work in Wales

  • The Law Society's Wales Office is based in Cardiff. The office represents the Society's view and interests to the Welsh government, Westminster and Brussels.

    The current issues are:

    • the proposed changes to legal aid
    • the law-making process in Wales
    • the contribution of the legal sector to the Welsh economy

The Law Society conducts research on the solicitors' profession in Wales and has produced a fact sheet that provides key figures on the profession for Wales up to November 2010.
