Many companies and individuals prefer to resolve disputes without the assistance of the courts. This can be done by arbitration, mediation or reference to an expert. It is always sensible to provide a means of appointment if agreement on the identity of such persons can be reached.

The president of the Law Society is a safe natural choice. He and his office are wholly independent, efficient and experienced.
