The European Commission has established a framework for its relations with interest representatives - organisations who "lobby" the EU. The framework includes a voluntary Register and Code of Conduct. This practice note provides advice to solicitors' firms considering registration, by clarifying the definition of interest representation and highlighting areas of potential conflict with the Solicitors Code of Conduct of England and Wales 2007.
