Mortgage possession claims

A recent pre-action protocol on mortgage repossession raises issues for solicitors acting for borrowers facing mortgage possession proceedings and the loss of their homes. We have issued advice on handling these issues, and it has been updated to include information on Homeowners Mortgage Support and the position of the borrower's tenants.
