Criminal prosecutions of victims of trafficking

The number of people illegally trafficked to the UK has risen significantly in recent years. This practice note is intended to outline the main provisions of the relevant conventions and protocols and to highlight the duty to enquire and, if necessary, investigate further, any credible claim that an individual has been a victim of trafficking.
