We are encouraging all solicitors to ask their broker what they will receive in commission from insurers this renewal. The significant lack of transparency surrounding broker remuneration in the market is unacceptable. Solicitors have a right to request this information from brokers. It's easy! Just ask your broker to disclose directly or send them an email using the Society's template letter (Word 140kb). While you are talking terms of business, you should discuss your service expectations with your broker.
