The Criminal Law Committee advises the Law Society on criminal law matters and represents the profession when called upon to do so. The committee works closely with the Access to Justice Committee in relation to criminal legal aid matters. Both committees report to the Legal Affairs and Policy Board who are responsible to Counsel for policy matters.
The Criminal Law Committee is supported by Janet Arkinstall, Criminal Law policy advisor and Alice Mutasa, Legal Aid policy advisor. Further support formatters relating to Criminal Law is provided by Robert Khan, Head of law reform and Mark Stobbs, Director of policy.
