The Law Society and the legal profession have an interest in the stability of the UK's position within the EU and the future role of the UK at the heart of EU rule-making.
The Law Society nevertheless accepts that there is a debate as to the appropriate level of EU competence in various policy areas and will input into the balance of competences reviews which are most relevant to the legal profession.
