Response to LETR discussion paper 02/2012

The Law Society has submitted a response to the Review's final discussion paper highlighting support for the development of alternate routes into the profession, in parallel with existing routes and advocating the inclusion of ethics in undergraduate training and an improved system of CPD, while expressing concern about the lack of equality and diversity considerations within this discussion paper. The Society also rejects the suggestion, made in the paper, that the current system is 'unfit for purpose'.
