How does the search work?
The search facility allows you to locate topics on the Law Society and/or Gazette websites, including downloadable documents. It is a smart service, designed to search for both exact phrases and closely related ideas.Finding exact phrases?
If you do just want to search for a particular word or phrase, you should enclose the phrase in double inverted commas. For example, if you type in "professional indemnity insurance", only documents containing that exact phrase will be returned. This is also true of hyphenated words – use double inverted commas when searching for a word such as "bye-laws".What's advanced search?
Advanced search offers more targeted searches by allowing you to limit your search to specific dates, regions, and areas of the law.You can also use it to retrieve archived content, and to specify the number and relevance of results displayed.
