Speaker

The Honourable Mr Justice Murray was a solicitor and for many years a partner in the derivatives and structured finance group at Allen & Overy.

His first judicial appointment in 2009 was as a recorder in the Crown Court. In 2013 he was authorised to sit as a deputy High Court judge in the Chancery Division.

He combined both part-time roles, sitting a few weeks each year in the Crown Court and in the Chancery Division, until he was appointed as a High Court judge, assigned to the Queen’s Bench Division, last year.
