An overview of the legal jobs market during COVID-19

Jason Connolly from JMC Legal Recruitment gives an overview of the legal jobs market during coronavirus (COVID-19).

Jason discusses what the job market is doing, and what firms are currently looking for.

The market is certainly different since COVID-19 has been around but it's not all doom and gloom, especially as there has been an uplift in regional roles for candidates who want to move out of London, or looking to make their commute easier, but still want the same quality of work that was previously offered to them.

Candidates have been quick to adapt to the ongoing situation, with interviews and inductions over Zoom, seeing both candidates and firms embrace technology to continue to facilitate a good working environment.

The market of junior roles has been hard-hit by COVID-19, with less movement possible for newly-qualified and junior lawyers. Jason offers expert advice to people looking to make this transition.
