Could you help SMEs to recover from the impact of coronavirus?
We’re pleased to present an opportunity to join a UK-wide effort to help thousands of small business owners to recover from the impact of coronavirus (COVID-19) through expert advice.
Could you help?
We’re working in partnership with the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) and others in the professional and business services sector to join the UK-wide effort to provide advice to small businesses impacted by coronavirus.
The scheme pairs professional advisers with small and medium sized businesses (SMEs) struggling as a result of coronavirus and in need of professional advice.
Through the Enterprise Nation platform, you're able to provide free initial advice with a struggling business. This could then lead to a paid-for business relationship.
Enterprise Nation is providing free access to its platform until 31 December 2020 to enable SMEs to connect with a community of business advisers volunteering to help them overcome this challenging period.
The scheme was launched on Thursday 9 July to small businesses.
The trade and professional bodies who are already encouraging their members to sign up and offer free initial advice include:
- the Law Society
- the Advertising Association
- Management Consultancies Association
How you can help
This crisis has significantly impacted SMEs, and the need for expert business advice has never been more crucial.
BEIS and Enterprise Nation are asking for volunteers to provide one hour per month over the six-month scheme to provide initial advice to struggling SMEs. This could then lead to a paid-for business arrangement.
To get involved, you need to:
- register as a business adviser volunteer by completing this form and entering coupon code LAWPLUS2020
- complete your profile on Enterprise Nation by uploading a photo, add this copy to your bio and include your company details. The more information you provide, the more SMEs will understand how your advice can help them
Small businesses are the backbone of the UK economy.
You have an opportunity to support the recovery through offering valuable advice to small businesses at the time they need it most.
